How long does a Consumer Court case take?
Consumer Courts are meant to decide cases within 60-90 days. In practice, cases take 3-6 months. This is still much faster than regular civil courts.
What relief can I get from Consumer Court?
Replacement of defective goods, refund of the purchase price, repair or completion of defective work, compensation for inconvenience and mental distress, and punitive damages for egregious conduct by the seller/service provider.
