The Revenue Officer verifies the documents, issues notice to interested parties, and if no objection is raised, enters the mutation in the record. Common problems include: Patwari demanding illegal fees, mutation entered without the real owner's knowledge (fraudulent mutation), and delays due to pending litigation.
