7. Under Section 7 of the Muslim Family Laws Ordinance 1961, it is the statutory duty of the Union Council Chairman to:

(a) Cause this notice of Talaq to be communicated to my wife within 7 days of receipt.

(b) Constitute an Arbitration Council to effect reconciliation between the parties within 30 days.

(c) If reconciliation is not effected, the Talaq shall become effective after the expiry of 90 days from the date of notice.

8. I am aware of the requirements and procedures under the Muslim Family Laws Ordinance 1961 and the duty of the Union Council to attempt reconciliation before the Talaq becomes final.

9. I request the Union Council Chairman to take necessary action under Section 7 MFLO and constitute the Arbitration Council for reconciliation.
