RE: COMPLAINT AGAINST bank_name FOR VIOLATION OF BANKING COMPANIES ORDINANCE 1962
Respectfully submitted:
1. That the Complainant is a customer of bank_name, having maintained account_type Account No. account_number since account_opening_date.
2. That the Complainant hereby lodges a formal complaint against bank_name (hereinafter referred to as the Bank) for violation of banking practices and applicable regulations under the Banking Companies Ordinance 1962.
3. That the nature of violation is as follows: nature_of_violation. The said conduct is in direct contravention of relevant_regulation_or_guideline.
4. That the specific incident giving rise to the complaint occurred on incident_date, when incident_details.
5. That as a result of the Bank's action, the Complainant has suffered financial loss amounting to Rs. financial_loss and has been caused undue hardship and distress.
6. That the Complainant approached the Bank's local management at branch_name, Branch on first_approach_date, and submitted a written complaint dated complaint_to_bank_date to the Bank's Complaint Resolution Department.
7. That despite the passage of period_without_resolution since the complaint was submitted to the Bank, no satisfactory resolution has been provided. The Bank's response dated bank_response_date is inadequate and does not address the substantive grievance.
8. That the Bank has failed to comply with its own internal complaint handling procedures and with the Banking Conduct Division's guidelines on customer service standards and complaint resolution timelines.
9. That the Complainant has submitted supporting documents including supporting_documents, which clearly establish the violation and the resulting loss.
10. That under the Banking Companies Ordinance 1962, the State Bank of Pakistan is empowered to regulate banking companies, issue directives, and take appropriate disciplinary action against banks that engage in unfair or improper conduct.
11. That this complaint is submitted within the prescribed timeframe and in accordance with the Banking Conduct Division's complaint handling procedures. The Complainant requests a thorough investigation into the Bank's conduct and appropriate remedial action.
PRAYER
It is, therefore, respectfully prayed that the State Bank of Pakistan may be pleased to:
(a) Investigate the complaint against bank_name for violation of banking practices and regulations under the Banking Companies Ordinance 1962;
(b) Direct the Bank to immediately rectify the violation and restore the Complainant to their original position;
(c) Award compensation to the Complainant for the financial loss of Rs. financial_loss and for the hardship caused;
(d) Direct the Bank to issue a written apology and implement corrective measures to prevent recurrence;
(e) Issue a directive to the Bank regarding compliance with customer service standards; and
(f) Take such further or other action as deemed necessary to protect depositors' interests and maintain banking standards.
