Sub-Registrar / Auqaf · Pakistan Waqf Properties Ordinance 1979 read with Muhammadan Law
Appeals before the Federal Service Tribunal and Provincial Service Tribunals under the Service Tribunals Act 1973.
Service Tribunals in Pakistan are established under the Service Tribunals Act 1973 to hear appeals from civil servants against any final order of the competent authority in respect of terms and conditions of service. The Federal Service Tribunal (FST) hears federal civil servants' appeals, while each province has its own Service Tribunal (Punjab, Sindh, KPK, Balochistan) for provincial civil servants. The remedy is an appeal under Section 4 of the Act, and the timeline is strict (30 days from communication of the impugned order, with sanction-of-government time excluded). The library covers FST appeals on every species of service grievance (promotion, seniority, pension, dismissal, removal, compulsory retirement, transfer, suspension), departmental representations preceding the appeal, applications for condonation of delay, stay applications, and review petitions before the Tribunal.
