About Family Court Forms

Pakistan's family law jurisdiction is exercised by the Family Courts established under the West Pakistan Family Courts Act 1964, with substantive law drawn from the Muslim Family Laws Ordinance 1961, the Dissolution of Muslim Marriages Act 1939, the Guardians and Wards Act 1890, the Family Courts Act 1964, and the Christian Marriage Act 1872 (for Christian marriages). The Family Court alone has jurisdiction over the matters listed in the Schedule to the 1964 Act, including dissolution of marriage (khula and judicial separation), recovery of dower, maintenance of wives and children, custody and visitation, recovery of dowry articles, jactitation of marriage, restitution of conjugal rights, and personal property between spouses. The library includes plaints, applications, interim relief motions, paternity / DNA test applications under Article 128 of the Qanun-e-Shahadat, and ancillary procedural forms used at every stage of family litigation.
